Re visiting one our most epic projects from back in 2009 and 2010, The Belle Tout Lighthouse was certainly a privilege and honour to be invited by Mr and Mrs Shaw to celebrate a milestone in the lighthouses history.
Having The High Sheriff of Sussex there, many dignitaries, relatives of previous owners and important people that had saved the lighthouse from dereliction, it was a wonderful celebration.
Being filmed throughout the restoration all those years ago and having episodes aired on Build a New Life in the Country was certainly an amazing 2 years of our lives.
Many of the team still work with us and we all thoroughly enjoyed the journey.

Required to join a local established building company of over 30 staff and tradesmen, in Seaford. East Sussex.
Qualities required: You would be reliable, polite and courteous. Skilled in all aspects of plastering and rendering to a high standard.
Good knowledge of building industry preffered, with high levels of quality and finish.
Conscientious and dedicated to the welfare of our team and clients. We encourage team building, creating a friendly and professional service. Good organisation and people skills.
You would have a full range of tools. Local to Seaford, this is preferred but not essential.
What we offer:
We will provide you with a van if required.
You will be self-employed and will be paid according to your skill level and quality of your workmanship. Very good rates of pay to the right person.
Price work, day rate with project bonuses makes this position very attractive.

Assisted a Seaford gentleman to gain much needed light and usable space in his front room and dining room. The back dining room didn’t get much light and this wasn’t used very much.
So we arranged for an engineer to visit and design for the internal wall between the two rooms to be removed.
We designed the new open plan area to be complimented with a luxury vinyl tile flooring laid in a herringbone design, then he decorated it in subtle tones creating a much more usable space with a lot more light.
Very happy customer!

Nothing was a problem. They were tidy, personable and very easy to work with. Mark the plasterer kept the mess to a minimum, Mike the decorator was keen eyed and fussy about the finish we received and the electrical guys were great, despite us asking for quite a complicated lighting set up.
The works have made such a huge difference to the house and having a new hallway creates a lovely, homely atmosphere as soon as you step in the doorway (rather than having to side step an old cloakroom!). I'm delighted to report the pine dresser we had stored in the garage finally has pride of place in the hallway - our new pantry!
So thrilled with the result, we're going to enjoy a much lighter, brighter kitchen this coming winter so won't have to peer into the gloom!”
